Chapter 9: Our First date

[Chapter Start]
It's been 4 days since Shou asked Emi to be his girlfriend. Today was the day they both decided to have their first date. Shou, Hiroto, Saga, and Nao have decided to go back and live in their own homes. They were getting homesick.

[Emi's POV]
I woke up and looked at my alarm clock. It was time to get ready for my first date with Shou. I got out of bed and headed out to the kitchen. I decided to cook breakfast for Onii-san and me. I began cooking pancakes for the two of us. Onii-Chan took me and Shou's dating to a rough start. It was a good thing Shou out ran him or else we wouldn't have or date today or any day. I heard someone walk into the room. I turned around. I saw Onii-san walking to the living room which was seen through the kitchen.
"Ohayo," I said.
"Ohayo," he said back.
He sat down on the couch. He turned on the TV and started watching. I continued cooking.  I was thinking about what would happen today. I hope every thing goes well today. I was finished cooking. I placed the food on the table.  Onii-Chan walked over and stated eating. I sat down and started eating to. I looked at him he was barely talking. Something was bothering him.
"Onii-Chan are you alright?"  I asked him.
"Yeah I'm fine," he answered back.
"You seem not to be talking much. Is there something bothering you?" I asked him.
He looked at me.
"Something is bothering me and it's you," he answered.
"Me? How could I be bothering you?" I asked Onii-Chan. I thought for a moment. Then I knew why it bothered him seeing me. He knew today was Shou's and me's first date. Considering how overprotective he was it should have really bothered him.
"Don't worry Onii-chan. The date will go fine. Nothing bad will happen," I said to him.
"It's your first date. He kissed you already. You might not know what comes after that," Onii-chan said.
"I know it's my first date. You should put trust into Shou, Onii-chan his been your friend for A very long time. Beside Shou didn't kiss me because he wanted to Hiroto just accidentally pushed him into me," I explained.
"Fine. Whatever you say. But I'm telling you right now. Emiko Amano do anything with bad with Shou. I will personally come and pick you up and you might never see him again,"  demanded Onii-chan.
I knew he was serious. He used my full name to explain this to me. He was dead serious. I didn't get. What did he mean by bad? He was finished with his food and washed his plate. He was going to sit on the couch again. I just had to ask him.
"Hey Onii-chan what do you mean" Doing bad things with Shou?" I asked.
He sat down.
"When I say that I mean..." He drifted off the last part to him self but I still could hear it.
Don't get pregnant.
I smiled and started laughing. He looked at me.
"That's not funny and I mean it!"  he said. I stopped laughing on the outside but I was
still laughing hysterically on the inside. I was finished and washed my plate. I went to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready for this day.

[Shou's POV]
The shower's water was flowing down my skin. I got out of the shower and got a towel to dry myself. I stared into the mirror in the bathroom. I wanted to look good today. Today is my first date with Emi. I feel very nervous. I don't want to mess up anything today. I walked into my room with a towel on my waist. I got the clothes I wanted to wear. I put them all on. Emi told me not to pick her up because she wanted her look to be a surprise and that most likely Tora would hurt me. I grabbed my house keys and headed for the door. This day will be great.

[Normal POV]

-Tora's House-
Emi had finished taking a bath and put on her clothes. She looked at her clock in her room. She was 10 minutes early and it would take 5 minutes to get there by walking. So she would be there on time. She walked out of her room. Tora turned around to his sister dressed up.
"So what do you think?" Emi asked her brother.
Tora rushed over to his sister.
"You're going to wear that to a date?" he asked.
"Yes what's wrong with it," I asked
Tora grabbed tons of jackets and scarves and put it on Emi.
"Onii-chan what are you doing" She asked. She was taking the things her brother put on her off.
"Emi if you wear that you're going to attract too many guys that are not Shou," Tora said.
"Onii- chan you're starting to be paranoid. Nothing will happen to me don't worry," Emi said.
"Fine," said Tora.
Emi walked out to the street.
"I can't wait," Emi said to herself.

Shou's POV
I was waiting for Emi outside the restaurant we were going to eat at.
"Shou," I heard someone say.
I turned around to see Emi walking towards me. She looked very pretty.
"Hi Emi," I said. Is that really all I can say? I can't stop looking at her.
"Hi Shou," She said.
"You look very pretty Emi," I said.
"Thanks," Emi answered back blushing.
We walked inside the restaurant. The guy at the desk sat as down in a reserved table. We both sat down at the same time. The waitress came over to take are orders. She was an elderly woman.
"May I take your order?" She asked.
We both nodded are heads. We told her our orders. When she was finished she took or menus. She was about to leave she said something to us.
"You two are a really cute couple," she said.
"Arigato" Emi and I said simultaneously.
She left after that. I had to get used to saying Emi s my girlfriend now. I remember before when people mistook us for a couple before we were dating. I smiled at that though.

[Normal POV]
Emi looked at Shou smiling. She thought it was cute.
"Shou, why are you smiling?" Emi asked.
"Oh, I 'm just thinking how when we weren't dating people would always mistake us for a couple. I have to get used to calling you my girlfriend," Shou explained.
Emi smiled. The food arrived and they both started eating. Shou looked up for a second to see Emi. Emi stopped eating for a second.
"Shou what is it?" Emi asked.
Shou smiled and let out a little laugh. Emi had sauce around her mouth.
"You have sauce on your mouth," Said Shou.
Emi tried to get it with her tongue. Shou laughed at her trying. He thought it was very cute. Shou grabbed a napkin and helped her get it of.
"Thanks Shou," Emi thanked him.
"No problem.
Emi remembered when she helped Shou do the same thing. After a while they were done. Shou asked for the check.
'Hey Shou, I can pay for half of it," Emi said.
"It's okay I will pay for it all," said Shou.
"But-"Emi was cut off.
"Don't worry about it," Shou said.
Shou handed the check to the waiter. Emi and Shou walked out of the restaurant to go were Shou planned to go next. Both of them were walking close together. Shou held Emi's hand. Emi looked at their hand holding together. She held his hand to. They both smiled. Someone was watching them. They didn't know though.

[Somewhere Near]
A guy was holding binoculars in a disguise. He was watching Shou and Emi. He was going to move near them. 3 other people were with him also in disguises. The one that had complete blonde hair started to talk.
"Tora why are we doing this again?" asked the blonde one. It Was Hiroto. Hiroto whined to Tora.
"Because I'm watching if they are going to do something I don't approve of," said Tora.
"I thought you said they were meant for each other?" asked Nao.
"I know but I'm just doing this once to make sure," said Tora.
"You? Doing this once? Probably not," said Saga. Tora glared at him. Saga kept quiet.
"Okay know let's go," Tora said. They went on to follow Emi and Shou,

[With Emi and Shou]
They were both still holding there hands. Shou had ended up taking them to the park. They saw kids and teen couples walking in the park to. They sat down on a bench. Both of them were still holding each others hands. Shou looked at Emi. Emi didn't see him looking, she was to busy looking at the little children playing.
"Emi?" Shou asked.
Emi snapped back to seeing everything else.
"Yes what is it Shou?" Emi asked.
"Oh nothing. It's just you've been staring at those kids for a long time," Shou said.
"Oh sorry. It's just when I was like them I didn't get to play. When I was at school I wasn't allowed because of my condition. During the whole summer I would be at the hospital," Emi explained.
"Let's Go," said Shou.
"Where?" Emi asked.
Shou pulled Emi to the playground. They went down the slides and other things. The kids laughed at them but in a good way. They hanged out with the little kids. After it got late so the kids went home. Emi and Shou sat down on the swings.
"It was sure fun," said Shou.
Emi smiled and looked at him.
"Arigato," thanked Emi.
"No problem," said Shou.
A drop of water fell on Emi. Emi looked up and saw rain drops starting to fall. Both Shou and Emi stood up. Shou grabbed Emi's hand and they went running for shelter.
"Shou's where are we going?" Emi asked.
"To my house it's near by here," Shou said.
They ran faster as the rain started getting harder.

[With Tora]
"Tora we should go back now," said Nao.
"No," Tora said.
"How are you going to spy on them in Shou's house while it's raining?" asked Saga.
Tora looked at the remaining Alice Nine members.  They started to regret coming with Tora.

[With Shou and Emi]
They both reached Shou's house. They were in front of Shou's front door. He got his key out and unlocked the door. He allowed Emi to go in first. Shou closed the door. They were both soaking wet. Shou turned on the TV and changed it to the weather channel.
"A massive rain storm has started in Tokyo. It's is best to stay in your houses for this kind of weather," the TV reporter said.
"Emi I don't think you can go back home tonight. I think you should stay her to be safe," said Shou.
"I get it. I'll call Onii-san and tell him," said Emi.
Emi dialed her brother's phone number.
"Moshi Mosh," said Tora.
"Onii-san," said Emi.
"Yes what it?" Tora answered back.
"I need to stay at Shou's house for the night," Emi explained.
"What? Emi you are not staying at his house. I'm going to pick you up!" yelled Tora.
"Onii-Chan it's okay. You'll get sick and there's a massive storm to-"Emi was interrupted.
"I don't care! I'm going there right now!" Tora yelled again.
"Onii-Chan just please trust me and Shou on this. I promise you I won't do anything you don't approve of," said Emi.
"Okay, fine. Just this once Emi. Call me before you go to bed,'" said Tora.
"Okay," Emi answered.
"Bye," they both said in unison.
Emi put her phone back into her pocket.
"What did he say," said Shou
"Just this once I can stay," said Emi.
Shou smiled, he was glad she was going to stay with him. Shou realized they were both soaking wet.
"Maybe we should both take a shower and change clothes we are both going to be sick if we stay like this," said Shou.
"You are right but I don't have any extra clothes," said Emi.
"Follow me," Shou said.
Shou went walking into the hallway as Emi followed. Shou finally stopped in front of a door. He opened the door to reveal his bedroom. Emi walked in. Shou's curtains were open so you could see how much the rain was falling. Shou went to his closet while Emi stayed inside his room looking outside.
"Emi," Shou said.
She turned around. Shou walked up to her and gave her a white t shirt and pants.
"I know they are probably a little big on you sorry," Shou apologized.
"Shou why are you apologizing? It will do," Emi said.
"I'm s-," Shou was interrupted.
"Shou stop saying your sorry when you haven't done anything wrong," Emi said.
"Okay. You can use the bathroom next door to my room," Shou said.
"Hai," Emi said. She walked out of Shou's room and into the hall. She went next door and opened to see a really big bathroom. Emi started the water. She laid down Shou's clothes on the counter. She put her wet clothes to dry on the towel rack. She was done showering in about 10 minutes. Emi grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body.

[Emi's Pov]
I got another towel and dried my hair. As soon as that was done I put on my clothes that weren't soaked on me again. I grabbed the clothes Shou gave me. I put them on. They were a little big and they kind of slipped off me, but just a little. I walked out of the bathroom. I knocked on Shou's bed room door. He was probably done by now.
"I'm coming in," I said.
Shou was no where in sight. I walked over to the master bath door.
"Shou?" I asked.  
There was no answer. I started to walk away.  He was probably not done. I saw the bathroom door opened.
"Emi?" asked Shou.
He had a towel around his waist. I looked away. This is mostly one of the things that are on his list of inappropriate things.

[Outside]
Tora saw what was happening.
"Emi is going to get in trouble now!" yelled Tora.
Nao, Saga, and Hiroto held him back.
"Tora just wait a sec. She is probably going to leave the room," said Nao.

[Emi's POV]
"I'll get out of the room," said Emi.
"Yeah I think it's for the best," said Shou.
I started walking out to the door. Shou was behind me because his clothes were near where I was.
"Oh no!" yelled Shou.
I turned around. Shou had slipped and landed on top of me half-naked. We both looked into each other's eyes.

[Outside]
Nao, Hiroto, and Saga were holding on to a furious Tora.
"Tora! Calm Down!" yelled Saga.
"Why would I!?!" Yelled Tora.
"We should drag him home," said Hiroto.
Nao and Saga agreed. They started to pull Tora home, but it wasn't an easy task.

[With Shou and Emi]
"Gomen ne Emi," Shou said getting off.
He helped her get up. She was blushing.
"I'll be outside," Emi said as she quickly ran out. Emi closed the door and fell down to her feet outside. She was blushing a lot.
"I didn't see anything. Just forget what you saw," said Emi to herself. Emi walked into the kitchen. She looked at the clock it was 8pm. It was supposed to be dinner.
"I guess Shou wouldn't mind if I cooked," Emi said to herself. She grabbed pots, pans, and food to cook. Emi started to cook happily she started singing their new single Senkou.
"Saa hari wa ZERO o sashita
kakedasou BEDDO wa mujuuryoku
samete wa kurenai ne kimi no koe, sayonara no oto"

Emi continued singing 3 times until the end of the song. She was also almost done with cooking the food. She was unaware that since the beginning someone was watching her.
"Nice Singing," said someone.
Emi turned around and saw Shou now full clothed sitting at the diner table.
"Thanks Shou," Emi smiled.
Shou got up and started preparing the table. Emi pulled the Potato Korokke out of the frying pan. She set it on the table. Shou and her sat down face to face from each other. He took a bite out of it first.
"Oishii," said Shou.
"Arigatou," Emi answered back.
Shou started stuffing his mouth with food. It was like he wasn't going to eat again the next day. Emi knew Shou's favorite food was potatoes but she never expected this.  
"Shou?"  Emi asked.
Shou raised his head. He looked like a chipmunk with nuts in it's mouth. Emi started to laugh at him
"You look really cute Shou," She said.
Shou swallowed it all in one gulp. He smiled. They both continued eating. They both finished eating at the same time even though it seemed Shou had taken 3rds and such. Shou grabbed Emi's plate. Emi was going to help him but he didn't let her since she already cooked him dinner. Emi had no choice but to sit down and open the TV. She flipped through the channels. She stopped at the channel of NTV because the drama she had kept watching for a long time .She silently watched Mioka a story of a girl that lives her life the fullest even though she has an incurable brain disease, who falls in love with Tachi. Emi felt like it related to her, especially now that she was dating Shou. Shou sat down next to her. He had occasionally seen this before and knew some what of the story.
"Hey Shou," Emi said.
"Yes, what is it? " Shou asked.
"What happens if I end up having the same ending fate as Mioka? " Emi asked.
Shou couldn't think of a world without Emi. She was the girl who brightened up his life and Alice nine's life. Shou held Emi and made her head rest on his shoulder.
"Emi, I told you before. Don't think about that now and just have fun now," Shou said to her. Emi continued laying her head on Shou's shoulder. Shou put his arm around her. She didn't mind at all. They kept watching Mioka until the end of the end of the episode. Shou saw that Emi was starting to get a little sleepy.
"Hey Emi I think it's time we go to bed," Shou said.
She nodded her head and said yes and followed Shou back to his room. They both went to Shou's bathroom. Shou looked through the cabinets and found an extra toothbrush for Emi.
"Arigato," Emi said.
"Your welcome," said Shou.
They both started brushing their teeth. Suddenly the lights went off.
"Ah!" Emi yelped.
"Emi! Are you okay?" asked Shou. He tried looking for Emi in the dark.
"Yes, Shou, I'm fine," Emi said back to him.
Shou was able to follow Emi's voice and find her. Shou helped her up to her feet.
"Arigato," Emi said.
Shou got his cell phone out for a little light. He flashed it onto someone but it wasn't Emi. Emi turned to see who it was.
"Sa...Sa...Sadako!!!" yelped Emi. Emi was completely terrified of her. She turned back and hugged Shou. Shou saw her to. He held Emi tight to keep her safe. The lights flashed back on. Shou looked back to see if Sadako was still there. It just ended up that it was just a black towel that was hanging up on the towel rack and since Shou's walls were white that must have made it look like her.
"Emi, its okay to look now. IT was just a towel." Shou said while still holding Emi.
Emi turned around still in Shou's arms and saw.
"Oh," Emi said. Emi pulled away from Shou's arms.
"I'm sorry I just jumped on you like that Shou," Emi apologized.
"It's okay. Isn't what boyfriends are supposed to do," Shou said.
Emi blushed and smiled at him. They both walked out of the bathroom and into Shou's room. Emi got her cell phone and dialed Tora's cell phone number.
"Moshi Mosh," said Tora.
"Onii-san," Emi said.
"Emi," Tora said.
"Yes, I'm going to go to sleep now," said Emi.
"Okay," said Tora.
He seemed not to be in a really good mood. Emi heard talking, coughing, and sneezing in the background.
"Onii-san, Is anyone with you?" Emi asked.
"Yeah, Nao, Saga, and Hiroto," Tora said.
"They sound like their sick. How did they get through this storm?" asked Emi.
"They came after you left," said Tora.
"Well then tell them I said goodnight," Emi said.
"Okay, Oyasumi Emi," said Tora.
'Oyasumi," Emi said.
She hanged up and put the phone back into her pocket.
"I guess I'll be heading out to the guest room," Emi said.
Shou grabbed her wrist. Emi looked back to him.
"Shou's what's wrong?" Emi asked.
Shou could see that she was scared of being alone. Especially of what just happened.
"Emi why don't you sleep with me in my room," Shou asked.
"What?" Emi asked surprised.
"You're scared, aren't you?" Shou said.
"Yes but its okay," said Emi.
"Really, Emi its okay," Shou said.
Emi couldn't argue with him anymore. She nodded her head to signal Shou that he was going to stay. Emi first laid on the bed on the right side. Then Shou entered and laid on the left side. It was still pouring really hard and it was pretty noising from the thunder and heavy rainfall.
"Oyasumi," said Shou.
"Oyasumi," Emi said back.
Shou began sleeping but Emi couldn't. She was scared still. She didn't want Shou to worry so she keep quiet. And hour passed and Emi still was awake. She felt Shou was going to turn to see how she was. She immediately closed her eyes and pretended to go to sleep. Shou turned around in the bed and looked at her.
"Emi I know your pretending," Shou said.
Emi opened her eyes.
"I'm sorry," Emi said.
"Why can't you go to sleep? "Asked Shou. "Don't worry about it Shou. Just go back to sleep," Emi said to him.
He knew what was wrong. She was scared of ghosts and the things like thunder and stuff. Shou pulled her into his arms.
"Shou?!" yelped a surprised Emi.
"Emi you can go to sleep now can't you? " Shou asked.
Shou held her closer and tighter. Emi nodded yes.
"Oyasumi," said Shou.
Emi said it back again the 2nd time. Emi liked being in his arms. Something surprised Emi. Shou had kissed her forehead goodnight. She started to blush but she liked being like this. She didn't have to hide it anymore. He was her boyfriend now. Emi moved closer into Shou's arms. The rest of that night was peacefully and heavenly.

[Next Day]
The rain had stopped somewhere during the middle of the night. The sun was gleaming through the window pane. The brightness had woke Shou up. He started to open his eyes. He looked right beside him. Emi was still holding tight to him. He smiled and was glad she got sleep. Emi started to wake up also. She looked at Shou.
"Emi, did I wake you up?" Shou asked.
"No," Emi said.
Shou mouthed the words oh. Emi looked at him straight in the eyes.
"Shou thanks of taking are of me," Emi said. Emi kissed him on the cheek. She wasn't ready to kiss him on his lips yet even though it already happened before because of Hiroto.
"No Problem," Shou said blushing.
Emi smiled at him. Shou noticed her smile and he thought it was very cute.
"Lets eat breakfast and I'll drop you home, Tora is probably mad," Shou said.
Emi nodded and laughed a little. Shou helped her get off the bed and headed out to the kitchen.

[Later]
Shou had driven Emi back home. He had parked his car and took her to the door. Emi unlocked the door and went in with Shou. They both saw a surprising sight. Tora, Nao, Hiroto and Saga were all coughing, sneezing. And blowing their noses. Tissues were every where.
"What happened?" asked Shou.
Nao cleared his throat and started to talk.
"Tora I think it's time to tell them," said Nao.
"Tell us what?" asked Emi.
"That we secretly watched you on your date and we are also sick because we watched during the rain because Tora didn't want to leave," said Hiroto.
"What?!?" Emi and Shou both yelped.
"Nice going Pon, Tora was supposed to say that," Saga said.
Tora went up to Shou. She blocked his body and part of his face. He thought Tora was going to beat him up because he saw.
"Shou I'm not going to beat you," said Tora.
"You're not?" Shou asked surprised.
"I am not," Tora said back.
"Why not? "Asked Shou.
"I would but I want you to have a chance with her because you are better than they other guys Emi would have picked," said Tora.
Shou smiled.
"But Shou do anything like that again and I will beat you up," Tora said.
Shou turned suddenly scared. Emi chuckled a little.
"Okay, since you guys are sick I'll make you guys soup," Emi said.
"Arigatou," Tora, Hiroto, Nao, and Saga said.
"I'll help you," said Shou.
Shou followed her into the kitchen. They started cooking. In the middle of it Emi looked at Shou.
"I'm glad this date went well. I don't want this to ever end. I want to be always around them and especially him," Emi thought.
